Voxel Sandbox
Voxel Yard Player Guide
Reviewed July 11, 2026
Voxel Yard is a lightweight block-building sandbox. Explore a generated yard with ponds, trees, low ruins, textured blocks, and browser-local saves without downloading a separate game client.
How the game works
Voxel Yard generates a sixty-four block-wide landscape with terrain, water, trees, ruins, animals, hostile mobs, block placement, progressive breaking, crafting, health, hunger, fall damage, and browser-local saves. Stone tools speed up work or improve combat, while furnaces convert raw meat into food that can restore the player.
Controls
Click the playfield to lock the pointer. Move with WASD, look with the mouse, jump or swim with Space, hold left click to break, right click to place, and choose blocks with number keys or the hotbar.
A reliable approach
Gather wood before moving far from the spawn area, then collect stone for a pickaxe, sword, and furnace. Build a small shelter before exploring at night or engaging several hostile mobs. Keep cooked food in reserve so hunger recovery does not compete with emergency healing.
Short version: Harder blocks take longer to break. The ray marker and break meter show exactly what you are editing.
Recovering a difficult run
Water can soften a fall and provides a route away from mobs, but movement is slower while swimming. If health is low, return to a known furnace, cook available meat, and avoid mining beneath unsupported terrain until the health bar is stable.
Input and accessibility notes
The HUD reports health, hunger, selected tool, mob count, break progress, and coordinates. Crafting is available from a visible panel, and the game explains pointer lock before mouse-look begins.
