Cart Trouble Player Guide
Reviewed July 11, 2026
Cart Trouble is a physics course where balance management is the principal challenge. Small corrections can save a run; sustained overcorrection can overturn the cart.
How the game works
Cart Trouble models a body and two wheels moving over joined surfaces. Throttle changes forward speed, braking reduces it, and the cart's rotation follows the terrain and the player's balance corrections. A hard landing transfers force through the wheels instead of snapping the cart to the track.
Controls
Use the arrow keys or WASD to steer, lean, and recover. Press R if the cart gets fully stuck.
A reliable approach
Approach a crest with enough speed to clear it but release the throttle before the cart becomes airborne. On descent, make one short correction toward level and wait for the suspension to settle before correcting again. Smooth runs use fewer inputs than frantic ones.
Short version: Use short corrections on slopes. Holding a direction too long usually creates the next rollover.
Recovering a difficult run
When the front wheel rises too far, reduce throttle and lean forward briefly. When the nose drops, avoid holding the opposite direction through the landing; the rebound can turn a saved jump into a second rollover.
Input and accessibility notes
The course can be restarted at any time and does not require pointer aiming. Keyboard controls are grouped around movement keys, with touch controls available on supported layouts.
