Block Puzzle
Block Fall Player Guide
Reviewed July 11, 2026
Block Fall is the falling-block puzzle game. Place pieces deliberately, clear rows, and keep the board open for less convenient shapes.
How the game works
Block Fall places seven familiar piece shapes on a ten-column board. Completed horizontal rows clear from the field. Soft drop increases the descent rate, hard drop commits the current position immediately, and rotation changes the shape's footprint before it locks.
Controls
Use keyboard or touch controls shown in the game to move, rotate, and drop pieces.
A reliable approach
Keep most columns within two cells of one another and reserve a clean vertical channel for long pieces. Rotate near the top of the board, where there is space to reconsider. Hard drop only after checking the landing shadow and the next-piece area.
Short version: A flat board is safer than a tall tower. Resolve small mistakes before they become the entire board.
Recovering a difficult run
A single covered gap is manageable if the surrounding surface stays low. Build a short staircase toward the gap and clear neighboring rows instead of stacking directly above the mistake.
Input and accessibility notes
Keyboard and touch controls are displayed with the board. The game separates movement, rotation, soft drop, and hard drop into distinct actions and allows the player to pause between placements.
