Block Stack
Block Drop Player Guide
Reviewed July 11, 2026
Block Drop is the stack timing game. The objective is to align each falling block, limit edge loss, and preserve enough width for later placements.
How the game works
Each moving block is trimmed to the area that overlaps the block below it. A small miss permanently narrows the tower, so accuracy affects every later placement. The motion changes direction at the edge of the playfield and continues until the player commits.
Controls
Tap, click, Space, or Enter to drop the next block. Press R to restart.
A reliable approach
Watch one edge of the moving block instead of trying to judge the whole shape. Release as that edge crosses the matching edge below. Early in the run, accept a slight overlap loss rather than waiting through several passes and losing the rhythm.
Short version: The first few drops determine the run. Prioritize a wide, stable base over risky early precision.
Recovering a difficult run
A narrow tower can still be extended by choosing a consistent reference edge. Switching between left-edge and right-edge alignment makes a reduced platform harder to read.
Input and accessibility notes
Block Drop requires one action and has no time limit for an individual pass. Click, tap, Space, and Enter all perform the same placement.
