Backlot Party
Backlot Duel Player Guide
Reviewed July 11, 2026
Backlot Duel is the private two-player arena mode. One player creates a four digit room code and another joins for a controlled one-on-one match.
How the game works
Backlot Duel supports a practice match against a computer opponent and a private player-versus-player room. A host receives a random four digit code; the guest enters that code to join the same room. Movement, attacks, abilities, health, and defeat state are synchronized for the two participants.
Controls
Create or join a party code, then use keyboard movement and the on-screen match controls shown in the arena.
A reliable approach
Use the arena edges to reset distance, then return through cover rather than standing in the open. Abilities are most effective when they force the opponent to change direction before a regular shot. Preserve enough health to survive one failed exchange instead of committing every resource at once.
Short version: Share the code once, confirm both players have loaded, and begin only after both sides are ready.
Recovering a difficult run
If a private match does not respond, confirm that both browsers show the same room code and that each player has entered the arena. Rejoining the same code is preferable to creating several rooms in succession.
Input and accessibility notes
Practice mode is available without a second player. The match presents health bars, clear room status, keyboard controls, and on-screen actions so players can verify the current state before the round begins.
